Personal data
AstroGramme asks for no account, no name and no email address. Your date and time of birth and your answers to the questionnaire stay in your browser: the calculations happen there and, by default, everything disappears when you close the tab.
Saving your chart (optional)
If you click “Create my private link”, we store in a database hosted on our server (Contabo, Germany): your date of birth, your time of birth if you gave it, your city of birth (name, coordinates, time zone), your answers to the questionnaires, the optional first name entered for invitations, and the dates of creation, last change and last opening. No IP address or other identifier is attached to it, apart from the email fingerprint described below if you ask for the link to be emailed.
This processing is based on your consent (article 6.1.a of the GDPR), given by that click. Its only purpose is to reopen your chart with the link you are given. That link, random and impossible to guess, is the only key: anyone who has it can see this data and delete it. Do not share it; to show your chart, use the share image instead, which contains no birth data.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with the “Delete” button on your chart: erasure is immediate and permanent. Otherwise, a save that has not been opened for two years is deleted automatically. The data is neither passed on to third parties nor used for any other purpose. If you have lost your link and had not received it by email, we cannot find your save, since we cannot tell which one is yours.
If you ask to receive the link by email, your address is used only for that message, sent through our email provider. It isn't stored: only a cryptographic fingerprint (HMAC, with a secret key) is attached to your save, so that your links can be sent again if you ask for them with the same address from “Find my card”. That fingerprint goes away with the save.
Only the birth city search goes through our server, which passes the text you type to the Open-Meteo geocoding API (Switzerland) without your IP address. Results are cached for one day, indexed by the city name alone.
Like any web server, ours keeps technical logs (IP address, date, requested page, browser) to keep the site secure and working, on the basis of legitimate interest (article 6.1.f of the GDPR). They are neither used for other purposes nor passed on to third parties, and are not linked to saved charts.
The site uses no cookies, no audience measurement, no advertising, and no third-party fonts or scripts: no consent banner is therefore needed.
Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, which you can exercise by writing to [E-MAIL DE CONTACT À COMPLÉTER]. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
