Enneagram × zodiac
Type 5 Aries
The Investigator, Sun in Aries
The Sun in Aries gives you an engine of enthusiasm and initiative, and type 5, the Investigator, pushes you to understand and anticipate before committing. Together, they combine drive with reflection: your ideas need to be put into action.
What sets you in motion
Understanding the world in depth and preserving your autonomy. Your Sun is in a cardinal sign: you like to launch, open up, set things in motion. In a type 5, this energy naturally heads towards understanding and mastering a subject.
Your combined strengths
Your Sun in Aries gives you: courage, frankness, initiative. Your type 5: clear-sightedness, curiosity, independent thinking. Together, you excel at launching, unblocking, opening a new path. Routine wears you down; a challenge wakes you up.
What you are looking for deep down
To be capable and competent. You move forward by blazing the trail, with an energy that loves beginnings and challenges taken on the spot.
In relationships
In love as in friendship, you get straight to the point and give yourself fully: you love lively closeness and shared impulses, and you stand up for your people without hesitation. Your type adds an underlying fear, which a safe bond soothes: being helpless, incapable or overwhelmed.
On good days and bad days
When you are thriving, you gain the assurance of type 8: you move from observation to action and take your place with confidence. Under pressure, you can slide towards type 7: you scatter from one idea to the next to escape what weighs on you. When pressure rises, lean on your Fire element: get moving again, with a walk, a short project or a challenge your size.
Your paths
Two common pitfalls: watching life from the window rather than stepping into it, and impatience when things drag on. Your growth path: sharing what you know and feel, without waiting for everything to be perfectly ripe.
